Lynn Motz is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has practiced in the critical care area for 17 years. Dr. Motz is a member of the Surgical Intensivist team in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit specializing in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Dr. Motz completed scholarly work using predictive analytics to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Motz is an involved member of the advanced practice leadership group at an academic medical center with a focus on onboarding, orientation, and education of advanced practice nurses

Maria Teresa Parisotto obtained the Nursing Diploma in 1974 and the Nursing Management Diploma in 1976, at the Nursing School Ospedale San Carlo, Milan, Italy. At the beginning of her career she worked as Nurse Manager in a Dialysis Unit, Ospedale San Paolo, Milan, Italy. In 1980 she left the hospital and started to work as Application Specialist first, Marketing Director Peritoneal Dialysis afterwards in Fresenius Medical Care Italy. In 1999 she moved to Fresenius Medical Care headquarters (Bad Homburg, Germany) as Director Peritoneal Dialysis for Europe, Middle East and Africa. From 2006 till 2016 she worked in Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH – NephroCare Coordination, Bad Homburg, Germany as Director Nursing Care Management for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Currently she is working Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbH – Care Value Management, as Chief Nurse Advisor. Her main areas of interest and experience are Vascular Access Cannulation and Care, Hygiene and Infection Control, Dialysis processes analysis, Safety in Dialysis. Her publications focused on Peritoneal Dialysis, Haemodialysis safety and quality and Vascular Access cannulation and care. She participated in scientific projects with EDTNA/ERCA as co-author for the development of “Environmental Guidelines for Dialysis – A practical Guide to Reduce the Environmental Burden of Dialysisâ€, Co-Editor for the development of “Vascular Access Cannulation and Care – A Nursing Best Practice Guide for Arteriovenous Fistula†and editor of the “Vascular Access Cannulation and Care – A Nursing Best Practice Guide for Arteriovenous Graftâ€.

Dr. Bonnie Bowie is an Associate Professor at Seattle University, College of Nursing where she served as the Chair of the Community Psychosocial Nursing Department from 2011 to 2015 and is currently the track lead for the DNP program. Dr. Bowie graduated from the University of Washington with a PhD in Nursing in 2007. She holds dual master’s degrees in nursing and business from the University of San Diego (1986). Dr. Bowie’s research centers around creating partnerships with stakeholders to create healthier communities and health care systems

Mustafa Z. Younis is an internationally recognized scholar and was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Society for Research of Healthcare Financial Management. Dr. Younis has authored and published over 200 articles, abstracts and presentations in refereed journals and meetings, and has presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Younis has administrative experience as Senior Advisor for the President at Zirve University, Turkey and as Chair of the Department of Health Policy and Management at Florida International University (FL, USA) where he led the accreditation efforts for the Healthcare Management Program. Dr. Younis has a history of playing visible roles on the editorial boards of journals as Chief Editor, Guest Editor and Editorial board member of leading journals such as IJMR, JHCF, Inquiry, JHHSA, JPBAFM Dr. Younis is a frequent speaker for both academic and professional audiences. His talks often feature his latest research and work in progress as well as cross-industry trends and strategy implications. He has provided workshops and presentation for wide organizations. His research and findings applied to for-profit, non-profit settings, and government. Dr. Younis has consulted with several organizations on Healthcare Finance, and Economics. Dr. Younis is often invited to speak about the challenges in the healthcare industry and other related topics to health economics, finance, and research. He has presented topics, such as, healthcare reform, ownership structure, profitability, unit cost, payment system and efficiency in management, at a variety of forums and conferences in Europe, Asia and Middle East.

Han Roeters trained as a registered nurse and Nurse Anaethetist in the Netherlands. After emigrating to New Zealand (NZ) in 1984, he registered as a NZRN and holds a MA in Health Sciences and PgDip in Health Informatics from the University of Otago, Dunedin, NZ. He has held several senior nursing and health management positions. Currently he is a senior nursing lecturer at UCOL in Palmerston North, NZ. He has 10 year experience in competency assessment of IQN. Han has provided several conference presentations at a variety of subjects including dementia care, health informatics and nursing simulation.

Chad Rasmussen has completed his BSN in 1996 from Morningside College, and his Master of Science from Creighton University in 2005. He is currently an Instructor of Surgery and an Assistant Professer of Family Medicine for the Mayo Clnic College of Medicine. He has practiced as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric ICU, CVSICU, Level One Trauma Centers, Flight Nursing, APRN in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care . Mr Rasmussen is currently a Nurse Practitioner at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN working in Family Medicine

Susette Brynard is currently a lecturer in Education Management at the University Free State, South Africa. Previously she was Head of the Department Natural Sciences, Bloemfontein College of Education. She was born in South Africa and graduated at the University Free State to receive a B. Sc.-degree. While lecturing Biology at an Education College she commenced her studies at the University of the Free State, where she received the B Ed (honors) and M Ed Degrees Cum Laude and then her Ph.D. She received numerous awards during her studies and published two papers on the Education and development of Down syndrome learners. She has been involved in creating opportunities for Down syndrome children and provided support for parents and families with Down syndrome children for many years. She is doing ground-breaking work on the role of parents in the education of Down syndrome learners.

Franklin A. Shaffer, EdD, RN, FAAN, FFNMRCSI was previously executive vice president of Cross Country Healthcare and chief nursing officer for Cross Country Staffing. He was appointed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO or the Joint Commission) to serve on their Nursing Advisory Council. Prior to his tenure with Cross Country Staffing, Dr Shaffer served as chief nursing officer at several medical centers, deputy director for the National League for Nursing and adjunct faculty in graduate nursing programs at Teachers College, Columbia University, Adelphi University and Hunter College. Dr Shaffer holds a doctorate of education in nursing administration, a master of education in nursing administration, and a master of arts in nursing administration and adult health from Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2002, Dr. Shaffer was inducted into the American Academy of Nursing.

Kathryn Weaver is working as a Nurse Psychotherapist and Associate Professor in the University of New Brunswick where she teaches mental health, community development, and advanced nursing practice; and healthcare ethics Instructor for Graduate and Medical students, Atlantic Region Training Centre, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed her PhD from the University of Alberta and Post-doctoral fellowships through the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology and Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. She has published more than 30 papers and is the Principle Investigator of two documentaries, “Through True Eyes: Recovery from Eating Disorders†and “It’s Not about Food!â€, produced by Atlantic Mediaworks, Fredericton, NB.

Elizabeth Brodie attained an Honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Glasgow before embarking on Mental Health Nurse Training. She worked in various areas of Mental Health but the main focus of her career has been in Acute Mental Health and Substance Misuse. She completed her PGDip in Drug and Alcohol Studies at Imperial College, London and attained a PG Cert. in teaching and learning in Higher Education from Edinburgh Napier University. Her Master’s dissertation is related to the overprescribing of benzodiazepines in primary care. She currently contributes to the undergraduate nursing curriculum and post-graduate curriculum planning at Edinburgh Napier University and is a Director of CREW 2000 a peer and volunteer lead agency which specialises in education and harm reduction for people who use substances and their families. Her current subject interests are the role of new psychoactive substances in pregnancy, the effects of NPS on young people with type 1 diabetes and the role of substances among university students. Her educational interests include enquiry based learning and meaningfully involving people with lived experience in the development and delivery of student nurse education; and the role of substance misuse education on nursing students

Geetha Kada is a Professor of Nursing at Montgomery College of Nursing and adjunct online nursing faculty at Stevenson University, Maryland, USA. She is carrying an experience of 18 years teaching for different levels of students’ namely Associate degree nursing students, Post-basic degree nursing students, Baccalaureate and Master’s nursing students with experience teaching traditional, hybrid and online nursing learners. She got her PhD in Nursing Education from the Capella University, Minnesota, USA. She chairs the simulation committee at the college and is an active member of the National League for Nurses (NLN). Also, she holds active certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support). She has published her PhD study on Pro Quest and did a poster presentation of the study at the Catholic University, DC, USA. Besides, in 2015 along with her Medical-Surgical Nursing course team, she worked on the use of unfolding multiple patient simulations in a senior medical-surgical nursing course and the same was presented at the MAADND conference, MD, USA. She is currently working on the Western Maryland Faculty Academy Grant; a collaborative effort among the departments of nursing to prepare experienced BSN and MSN-prepared registered nurses for new roles as part-time clinical nursing faculty.
